Cak Imin Sends Off 1,200 Participants in Free Mudik Programme by PKB for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri
Jakarta — Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, commonly known as Cak Imin, chairman of the National Leadership Council of the Awakening of the Nation Party (PKB), dispatched 1,200 participants on the “Free Mudik PKB Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri” programme, who departed utilising 25 buses to various regions across Java Island.
The destinations included Semarang, Rembang, Klaten, Surabaya, Wonogiri, and Yogyakarta.
“Every year we implement this as part of our togetherness, mutual cooperation, working shoulder-to-shoulder and sharing joy to help our brothers and sisters return home for mudik,” said Cak Imin at the PKB National Leadership Council headquarters in Jakarta on Sunday.
He further stated that the free mudik programme represented PKB’s enduring commitment to fraternity.
“The spirit of mutual cooperation, togetherness, and brotherhood — and not forgetting our roots, or returning to our origins. We carry this out every year,” he said.
Meanwhile, he expressed hope that the travellers departing through the PKB programme would arrive safely at their destinations.
“May they arrive at their destination safely, in good health and happiness, meeting their families, relatives, and the sources of our lives. May we be able to continue this programme in the years to come,” he said.
