Cak Imin Reveals Reason for Adopting 'Prabowonomics' as PKB Anniversary Theme

PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, known as Cak Imin, has revealed the reason the party’s 28th anniversary carries the theme ‘A New Direction of the Constitutional Economic Mandate’.

Imin said the theme is abbreviated in a single word: ‘Prabowonomics’. He described it as an expression of gratitude and PKB’s determination to bring about a new direction for the national economy.

He said PKB draws inspiration from the spirit of President Prabowo Subianto.

‘To continue being an independent and sturdy national force based on our own strength, and all of us in PKB are inspired by the President’s spirit and resolve to safeguard the new economic direction amid various difficult challenges, both geo-economic and geopolitical,’ Imin said in Jakarta on Thursday (23/7).

He quoted Prabowo, who frequently refers to Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution.

Imin said Prabowo’s principles align with PKB’s hopes and commitment: that the primary purpose of the state is to restore the people’s economic rights so that prosperity is achieved as quickly as possible.

‘Our dependence on the global market has reached a level where we forget that our extraordinarily abundant natural wealth has not been fully protected by our own hands. We are witnessing the President sincerely beginning to safeguard this remarkable natural wealth and using it to the fullest for the people’s interests,’ he said.

He said PKB supports the one-door export policy for natural resources. According to him, the policy is one of the main ways to begin asserting economic sovereignty.

‘We are fully convinced that the orientation and new economic direction, starting with the rescue of our natural resources, is not mere rhetoric or a pipe dream. We have longed for this for a long time, and we are witnessing the President’s policies unfolding before our eyes through various concrete efforts,’ said Imin.
