Co-ordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (PM) Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) said President Prabowo Subianto continues to maximise Indonesia’s role for peace in Palestine through membership of the Board of Peace. Cak Imin noted that Indonesia has never ceased sending aid to the people of Gaza.

‘So here’s the thing, BoP, or the global diplomatic steps taken by the President, are steps to maximise our role,’ Cak Imin said on the sidelines of the Jejak Jajanan Nusantara event at GBK, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (8 March 2026).

Cak Imin noted that aid shipments to Palestine often face obstacles. Therefore, he added, Prabowo’s diplomacy seeks other avenues so that aid can reach in full.

‘What is our role? Well, if aid to Gaza is frequently cut or hampered, we must seek doors to push that aid to be targeted and to get in. Not only relying on aid that is air-dropped from aircraft, but it can enter Gaza more freely,’ he explained.

‘Thus BoP, whether bilateral or multilateral, the President’s visits to various countries, returning from New York and stopping in several countries, are opening the doors as wide as possible for our aid to enter Gaza and Palestine in general,’ he added.

‘Because there are indications that the aid we carry does not reach 30%; not 30% reaches, the rest is hampered,’ he said.

In addition, Cak Imin said Prabowo’s global diplomacy to strengthen the national economy includes an agreement with the United States.

‘The second, all aims pursued by the President are to safeguard the national economic strength. So the national interest is number one. The number one priority is national interest so that our industry remains running, our exports to America remain in surplus,’ he said.
