Cak Imin: Prabowonomics is a Form of Gratitude for PKB's Anniversary This Year

Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, known as Cak Imin, stated that the ‘Prabowonomics’ theme for the party’s 28th anniversary is a form of gratitude and a commitment to embracing a new direction for the national economy. Cak Imin explained that the official theme is actually ‘A New Direction for the Constitutional Economic Mandate’, but it was summarised as ‘Prabowonomics’ for ease and to emphasise the vision. ‘This theme is a form of gratitude and PKB’s seriousness in jointly bringing a new direction to the national economy,’ he said at the Jakarta Convention Centre on Thursday. He added that the theme was chosen based on the party’s desire to continue overseeing the transition and new economic direction under President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership. According to him, PKB is inspired by the President’s spirit in facing complex global challenges. ‘We at PKB are all inspired by the President’s spirit and determination to continue steering a new economic direction amidst difficult challenges, both geo-economically and geopolitically,’ he said. Cak Imin further emphasised that the ‘Prabowonomics’ concept aligns with PKB’s commitment to Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, noting that President Prabowo always stresses the importance of the constitution as an economic foundation. ‘This matches PKB’s hope and commitment that the main purpose of our state is to restore the people’s economic rights so that prosperity can be achieved as quickly as possible,’ he asserted. The anniversary event was attended directly by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, demonstrating the solidity of the government coalition with the party whose symbol is a globe.
