Cak Imin: Prabowo Forging New Development Path, Promises Major Changes
Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) has asked the public to be patient in awaiting the results of the various programmes being implemented by President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. He stated that Prabowo is currently forging a new direction for development.
This was conveyed by Cak Imin while attending the 2026 Haul Akbar Ulama dan Habaib Betawi at Monas, Central Jakarta, on Friday (19/6/2026). The event was also attended by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung.
“President Prabowo is now creating a new direction for development. Many misunderstand this new direction. Just be patient. God willing, in no more than two years there will be important changes for the progress of the people, society, nation, and state,” said Cak Imin.
The PKB General Chairman said that the Prabowo administration is currently implementing a new approach to national development. Therefore, he believes the public needs to give time for the various policies being executed to show their results.
“Patience is needed, because it is a change to a new method. I am just saying a little, for 20 years it has been the same old thing, God willing, major changes will occur,” he stated.
On that occasion, Cak Imin also requested prayers from the ulama and habaib so that President Prabowo and his government officials are granted ease in carrying out the mandate of leading the nation.
He expressed hope that Prabowo’s leadership would be able to bring Indonesia to become a more advanced, just, and prosperous country.
“Please pray, habaib and ulama, hopefully our leaders, especially the President, can successfully lead and bring Indonesia to become a baldatun thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur, an advanced nation, a just nation, a prosperous nation in accordance with the mandate of our constitution,” he said.
In addition to discussing central government programmes, Cak Imin also appreciated the organisation of the Haul Akbar Ulama dan Habaib Betawi initiated by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung. He described the activity as an important step to emulate the struggles of the ulama while strengthening the cultural and traditional foundation in Jakarta.
According to him, the development of Jakarta as a global city must remain grounded in the cultural and traditional values inherited by the ulama and Betawi community figures.
“This idea is truly extraordinary. God willing, with this idea the Governor will be increasingly blessed and successful in leading us all,” he added.
