Cak Imin Confirms PKB Will Continue to Support Prabowo: Ensuring the Success of the New Economic Direction

National Awakening Party (PKB) Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, known as Cak Imin, has stated that his party will continue to stand with President Prabowo Subianto to ensure the success of the new economic direction. According to him, the path towards this ideal is already becoming visible. “PKB will continue to stand with Mr Prabowo to make this new economic direction a success. This is an ideal whose policy direction appears to be taking shape,” he said at the 28th PKB Anniversary commemoration at the Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC), Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (23/7/2026). He assessed that the various regulations issued by Prabowo represent a commitment to the people’s welfare. He noted that this is in line with PKB’s commitment. “The laws and various regulations are the next steps in the commitment of the President and the commitment of PKB to continue realising a prosperous nation that must be enjoyed by its own people,” he explained. “This sincerity is what brings us all today to one conclusion: this new economic direction must not stop,” he added. He also expressed confidence that what Prabowo has pioneered is a new, good, and just economic path. Therefore, this paradigm shift in the economy must be utilised for the people’s prosperity. “For the last 25 years, we have worked hard together with legislative parties and the executive to achieve economic growth. We have also created various regulations together to realise economic growth,” he explained. “However, we sometimes forget that economic growth has not been accompanied by equality and justice. PKB witnesses that President Prabowo, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, is truly serious about aligning economic growth with equality and justice,” he concluded. The 28th PKB Anniversary was attended by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Political party leaders present included Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia, Democrat Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), PKS President Al Muzammil Yusuf, and PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas). Also in attendance were party elites such as Gerindra Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, NasDem Treasurer Ahmad Sahroni, PAN Secretary General Eko Patrio, Golkar Treasurer Sari Yuliati, PDI Perjuangan Central Board Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Democrat Party Secretary General Herman Khaeron, and PSI Vice Chairman Isyana Bagoes Oka.
