Cak Imin: 108 Laws Must Be Revised to Achieve Economic Sovereignty

Ketua Umum PKB Muhaimin Iskandar, or Cak Imin, stated that 108 laws must be revised to enable the exercise of economic sovereignty. He made the remarks during the 28th PKB anniversary commemoration in Jakarta, which was attended by President Prabowo Subianto. Imin initially stated that PKB supports the one-door policy for natural resource exports, describing it as a primary means to begin enforcing economic sovereignty. “We are fully confident that this new economic orientation, starting with the safeguarding of natural resources, is not mere rhetoric or a pipe dream. We have long yearned for this and we are witnessing the President’s policies materialise through various concrete efforts,” Imin said. He called on other political parties to undertake comprehensive regulatory changes to ensure the nation’s wealth is enjoyed by its own people. “Mr President, PKB notes that there are at least 108 laws that we must revise so that our economic sovereignty can truly be exercised,” he stated. Imin also said the anniversary’s theme is ‘A New Direction for the Constitutional Economic Mandate’, which he abbreviated to ‘Prabowonomics’.
