PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, known as Cak Imin, has said that 108 laws must be amended in order to carry out economic sovereignty.

He made the remarks during the celebration of PKB’s 28th anniversary at the Jakarta Convention Centre on Thursday (23 July). President Prabowo Subianto attended the event.

Imin initially said that PKB supports the single-door export policy for natural resources. According to him, this policy is one of the main ways to begin upholding economic sovereignty.

“We are fully confident that this new orientation and direction for the economy, starting with the rescue of our natural resources, is not mere rhetoric or a pipe dream. We have long yearned for this, and we are witnessing the President’s policies becoming reality before our very eyes through various concrete efforts,” said Imin.

Imin invited other parties to carry out comprehensive regulatory reform so that the nation’s wealth can be enjoyed by the people themselves.

“Mr President, PKB has recorded that there are at least 108 laws that we must amend so that our economic sovereignty can truly be put into practice,” he said.

On that occasion, Imin said the theme of PKB’s anniversary was ‘The New Direction of the Economic Mandate of the Constitution’, abbreviated in a single word: Prabowonomics.

“This theme expresses PKB’s gratitude and determination to continue working together to steer the national economy in a new direction, so that the nation remains independent and strong, standing on its own strength,” he said.
