Caca Breaks Into Several Houses in East Jakarta, Cries When Arrested
Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) have arrested a woman with the initials S, alias Caca (21), who repeatedly carried out thefts at a number of residents’ homes. The suspect cried as she was being taken into custody.
In a video uploaded to the social media account of the Motor Vehicle Theft Sub-Directorate (Subdit Resmob) of the Polda Metro Jaya Criminal Investigation Directorate, officers can be seen approaching the suspect in East Ciputat, South Tangerang, on Thursday (4 September). Caca initially refused to be taken into custody and wept.
“Members of Unit 5, Sub-Directorate 3 Tahbang/Resmob succeeded in securing the suspect named Sabrina Auliya Putri, alias Caca,” said the Head of the Resmob Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya Criminal Investigation Directorate, AKBP Resa Fiardi Marasabessy, in a statement on Tuesday (8/9/2026).
The theft occurred on Saturday (27 June) in Cipinang Cempedak, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The suspect committed the theft while the victim was performing prayers on the second floor of her home.
The victim discovered that her mobile phone was missing. When CCTV footage was checked, the suspect could be seen entering the house and carrying out her act.
“The victim reviewed the CCTV of her house and found that in the footage a woman entered the victim’s home and took the victim’s mobile phone. As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a loss of one Samsung S23 Ultra mobile phone in green,” said Resa.
Based on the investigation, Resa said, the suspect had also carried out several of her acts at a number of locations. The suspect and the items of evidence are currently being held at Polda Metro Jaya headquarters.
“Using a similar method, the suspect struck again in the Malaka Jaya area of Duren Sawit, East Jakarta on 17 August 2026 and managed to make off with cash amounting to Rp 3 million. Not stopping there, the suspect also targeted the Cibubur area of East Jakarta and fled with cash worth Rp 15 million,” he explained.
