Cabinet Secretary Teddy Visits Pasarsenen Station to Inspect People's Economy Train
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya inspected the exodus situation at Pasarsenen Station, Jakarta, on Tuesday (17 March 2026). During the visit, Teddy was accompanied by Director-General of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Bobby Rasyidin to directly observe customer service and operational readiness of railway services during the 2026 Lebaran holiday transport period.
On this occasion, Teddy stated that the inspection was part of President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to continuously improve national railway services. “So in accordance with the President’s directive, he is focused on improving railways. This is what we are checking. Earlier there was the People’s Economy Train. I checked it directly,” said Teddy.
Whilst at the station, Teddy greeted exodus travellers who were preparing for their journeys. He conversed directly with several customers, waved, shook hands with families he met, and greeted children at the location. Teddy also appeared to chat with one of the train drivers. His presence was welcomed enthusiastically by exodus travellers who took the opportunity to take photographs and shake hands.
After inspecting the passenger service area, Teddy and Bobby proceeded to the People’s Economy Train consist located at Platform 1 of Pasarsenen Station. At the location, Bobby explained the service characteristics of the People’s Economy Train provided by KAI as a travel option with affordable fares, whilst providing additional capacity during the Lebaran exodus period.
