Cabinet Secretary Teddy States Indonesia's Situation is Under Control: No Chaos There

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya has provided assurance regarding the current stability of national security conditions. He stated that the negative narratives circulating in society about Indonesia’s current situation are mistaken. “So, a while ago there was an issue suggesting that Indonesia would soon descend into chaos. First, I apologise, but I need to correct that; it is a mistaken narrative. There is no chaos,” said Teddy at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Friday (10/4/2026). “What we have is everything under control,” Teddy added. He presented several facts indicating that conditions in the country remain controlled. “But, in fact, President Prabowo has decided not to raise the price of subsidised fuel at all. That is a fact. You can see for yourself in neighbouring countries and surrounding nations,” he said.
