Cabinet Secretary Teddy Reveals Prabowo's Full Orders on NTT Earthquake

President Prabowo Subianto has ordered all his ranks to move quickly in handling the impact of the M7.7 earthquake that shook the East Nusa Tenggara region in the early hours of Saturday (15/8/2026). The President has tasked his ministers to immediately head to the earthquake location in Flores, according to a post on the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat.

“The government continues to move quickly to handle our brothers and sisters in NTT,” wrote Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in the post. “President Prabowo has also assigned several central officials to go directly to Labuan Bajo and Maumere today. Namely the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Public Works, the Head of BNPB and the Head of Basarnas, the Deputy Minister of Health, the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, along with teams from PLN, Telkom, Pertamina, and Bulog,” he continued.

At the same time, he said, 50,000 basic food packages from the Presidential Assistance programme have been dispatched to Maumere for affected communities. “The government will continue to be present and ensure that handling on the ground proceeds quickly and precisely,” he said.
