Cabinet Secretary Teddy Reveals Details of Prabowo-Macron One-on-One Meeting
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya has revealed the details of the one-on-one meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Tuesday (14/4/2026). The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Teddy explained that the one-on-one encounter between the two heads of state took place in a warm and productive atmosphere for more than two hours.
“The one-on-one meeting between President Prabowo and President Emmanuel Macron lasted more than two hours at the Élysée Palace in Paris,” stated the Cabinet Secretary in an official statement.
Teddy elaborated that the two leaders discussed enhancing strategic cooperation between Indonesia and France in various priority sectors. The focus of the discussion included developing cooperation in the fields of energy, education, digital communication, and long-term mutually beneficial economic investment.
“The meeting discussed increasing cooperation in various sectors, including energy, education, digital communication, and long-term economic investment,” Teddy clarified.
According to him, the strong personal relationship between President Prabowo and President Macron serves as an important foundation in strengthening the partnership between the two countries. Teddy noted that this closeness has been established since President Prabowo served as the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia and has continued to the present day.
“The relationship between the two leaders has been closely tied since President Prabowo was still serving as Minister of Defence until now,” said Teddy.
On that occasion, Teddy also revealed that Russia and France are countries that hold veto rights in the United Nations, as well as possessing strengths in the fields of economy and energy resources.
It is known that the President, along with a limited delegation, arrived back in the homeland today, concluding the working visit to Russia and France. The presidential aircraft landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport around 14:00 WIB.
Prabowo was directly welcomed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo, TNI Commander Agus Subianto, and Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Muhammad Herindra.
