Cabinet Secretary Teddy Receives Old Friend Hercules at His Office
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya received a visit from Rosario de Marshal, alias Hercules, at the Cabinet Secretariat Office in Jakarta. Upon receiving Hercules’ visit, Teddy referred to the Chairman of Gerakan Rakyat Indonesia Bersatu (GRIB) Jaya as his old friend.
Teddy uploaded the moment of Hercules’ visit via his personal Instagram social media, @Teddy_HQ. In the video he uploaded, Teddy said he had known Hercules for over a dozen years.
Teddy stated that Hercules’ visit, accompanied by his two sons, was for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. “Today, an old friend from 15 years ago came to exchange Eid greetings,” said Teddy on Saturday, 28 March 2026.
In the video, they discussed Hercules’ children studying abroad. Teddy inquired about the universities attended by Hercules’ two sons who accompanied him, namely Herdinand and Khayrel.
Herdinand said he had graduated from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, United States. Meanwhile, Khayrel said he graduated from a university in Melbourne, Australia, where he studied business management.
Teddy also asked about the news of Hercules’ other two children who did not join the visit. The two are Dede and Zahnia Zahra, who are also studying abroad.
Hercules said he was proud of his children studying abroad. “The father may be a thug, but the children are solid,” he said.
Teddy also gave advice to Hercules’ children. “Keep studying, make your parents proud soon,” he said.
In a report by Tempo Magazine edition 15 May 2025, the prominence of Hercules and GRIB Jaya has risen further after Prabowo Subianto was inaugurated as president in October 2024. Prabowo is reportedly already friends with Hercules since he was still active in the Indonesian National Army.
GRIB Jaya, founded in 2011, initially aimed to serve as the wing organisation of the Gerindra Party. This is even stated in the GRIB bylaws, which were later changed in 2019. Those who joined GRIB were supporters of Prabowo and Gerindra.
GRIB and Hercules remained loyal to Prabowo despite three losses in presidential elections. This is suspected to be the reason why Gerindra Party’s top officials are not open about there being no formal relationship between Prabowo and Gerindra with GRIB and Hercules. Because GRIB’s grassroots still consider Prabowo their mentor. Meanwhile, Prabowo is directing his cabinet to eradicate thuggery.
