Cabinet Secretary Teddy Meets Social Minister Gus Ipul Late at Night to Discuss People's School Programme

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya received a visit from Social Minister Syaifullah Yusuf, popularly known as Gus Ipul, at the Cabinet Secretariat office in Jakarta on Wednesday, 12 March 2026 at 23:30 WIB. According to Teddy, Gus Ipul paid a courtesy visit and reported on the progress of the People’s School (Sekolah Rakyat) programme being implemented by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

“Alhamdulillah, over the past year, nearly 20,000 out-of-school children have been able to return to school and receive adequate housing, food, nutrition, and health insurance coverage,” wrote Teddy in a statement posted on the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram account.

According to Teddy, President Prabowo does not want any children who should be in school to be unable to attend. He also does not want children to be living on the streets, begging for food and shelter.

“Each year, this programme will continue to be strengthened, and we will ensure that it has a positive impact for Indonesia’s young generation,” wrote Teddy.
