Cabinet Secretary Teddy and North Sumatra Governor Bobby Perform Takbiran in Medan, Distribute 5,000 Food Aid Packages

Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya spent the takbiran night of Eid al-Fitr in Medan, North Sumatra. He joined Governor of North Sumatra Bobby Nasution for takbiran processions around the city.

“Earlier, after being invited by the Governor for takbiran, we went around,” said Teddy during a visit in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday night (20/3/2026).

Teddy recounted that Bobby invited him to sample offerings from local small and medium enterprises (UMKM) in Medan. He said he enjoyed boiled noodles during the moment.

“We went around, and then he (Bobby) got hungry, so we were invited to eat boiled noodles from a UMKM, a Medan UMKM,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bobby stated that his side also distributed basic food aid (sembako) to the community during the takbiran night. The activity was carried out on instructions from Prabowo.

“Aid for the people of North Sumatra, especially those in Medan and surrounding areas. There were about 2,000 to 5,000 packages distributed earlier, which happened to be given out at the governor’s office,” Bobby said.
