Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya has affirmed that the government under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto is currently running stably and under control amid various issues developing in society. Teddy conveyed several facts demonstrating the government’s success in maintaining national stability, both economically and socially. One of the main indicators is the government’s policy of not raising the price of subsidised fuel, even though many other countries are facing pressures and energy price increases due to the global situation. “Amid global conflicts, many countries are experiencing fuel difficulties and price hikes. But the government has decided not to raise the price of subsidised fuel. This is a fact that can be seen directly,” said Teddy in a written statement received by ANTARA in Jakarta on Saturday. In addition, he also emphasised that the national economic condition continues to show a positive direction. Public purchasing power is assessed to remain maintained, while various economic indicators point towards optimism. “Facts on the ground show that prices of essential goods are stable, fuel is available, and the flow of holiday travel is running smoothly. Everything is measurable and felt directly by the public,” he explained. Amid the proliferation of various opinions, Teddy also reminded the importance of conveying information based on data and facts, not mere assumptions that could potentially cause unrest. “The important thing is to speak according to accurate data and facts,” he stressed. He also invited all elements of society to jointly support the government in building the nation. “If not us who support the government, then who!” said Teddy. Furthermore, he affirmed that the government remains open to criticism and input, as long as it is conveyed constructively and does not mislead the public. According to him, differences of opinion are a normal part of democracy, but they must still prioritise responsibility in maintaining optimism and national unity. “Feel free to give criticism, but don’t make the public anxious. We all want the best for this country,” he concluded.
