Cabinet Secretary Reveals Content of Prabowo and Emperor Naruhito Meeting: Investment and Environmental Conservation
President Prabowo Subianto met with Japanese Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo today (30/3). Cabinet Secretary or Seskab Major Teddy Indra Wijaya revealed that Prabowo and Emperor Naruhito discussed several issues encompassing investment, energy, and environmental conservation.
“President Prabowo and Emperor Naruhito discussed several strategic issues that are mutual interests of both countries in the fields of investment, energy, and environmental conservation,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya on Monday (30/3).
The meeting between Prabowo and Emperor Naruhito was uploaded on the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet. The meeting was one of the agendas of President Prabowo’s visit to Japan.
The meeting between Prabowo and Naruhito lasted 45 minutes. After the meeting, the two heads of state proceeded to lunch at the Imperial Palace, specifically at Rensui North.
President Prabowo is scheduled to meet with the Crown Prince of Japan, who is the brother of Emperor Naruhito, Fumihito.
The purpose of this meeting is to strengthen friendly relations between Indonesia and Japan.
In the meeting, President Prabowo was accompanied by his son Ragowo Hediprasetyo (Didit), Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Teddy stated that Prabowo’s visit to Japan demonstrates that relations between Indonesia and Japan are not only built on strategic interests but also on mutual respect, trust, and friendship.
