Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya received BTN President Director Nixon Napitupulu and KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin. The meeting discussed follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto’s instructions on providing decent housing for the public.

“BTN, together with KAI and the Ministry of Housing, is committed to building vertical housing on KAI-owned land, one of which is in Manggarai, Jakarta,” said Teddy in a post on the Cabinet Secretariat’s account on Wednesday (22/4/2026).

It is known that currently, 5,000 units of row houses with areas of 45 and 54 square metres have been built on KAI land. The housing is designed to be affordable through the Home Ownership Credit (KPR) and Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP) schemes.

Teddy explained that in 2025, construction of houses under that scheme had reached 200,000 units. This year, the construction will be further increased.

“The BTN President Director stated that in line with the President’s instructions, in 2025 there was an increase in construction with around 200,000 units of houses built through KPR/FLPP and 40,000 units through non-KPR. And in 2026, in accordance with the President’s instructions, the number will be increased,” said Teddy.

In addition, the meeting also discussed the progress of the Gambir Station redesign. This includes improving the quality of train services at other stations, both for passengers and logistics needs throughout Indonesia.

“As well as encouraging the development of areas based on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) as new economic nodes that are integrated,” he said.
