Cabinet Secretary: President brings home strategic partnerships from Russia-France
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that President Prabowo Subianto brought home various strategic partnership agreements from his state visit to Russia and France.
“Upon arriving back in the country, President Prabowo brought home souvenirs in the form of various strategic agreements,” said Teddy when confirmed by ANTARA on Wednesday.
In Moscow, Teddy said, Prabowo met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In that meeting, the two national leaders affirmed the enhancement of cooperation related to long-term national energy supplies, including crude oil reserves and LPG.
Meanwhile, in Paris, Teddy conveyed that President Prabowo met with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss increasing cooperation in the fields of energy, education, digital communications, as well as long-term economic investment.
The Cabinet Secretary stated that the visit to the two countries produced concrete achievements for Indonesia, considering that both are major nations with abundant resources and have an important role on the global stage.
“A brief two-day visit to two superpower countries, UN Security Council veto holders and the world’s largest resource producers, with major and concrete results for Greater Indonesia,” said Teddy.
In online monitoring, the presidential aircraft carrying President Prabowo landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base around 2:00 p.m. WIB.
At the bottom of the aircraft stairs, the President was welcomed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka as well as a number of high-ranking state officials and TNI-Polri ranks, including State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Muhammad Herindra.
