Cabinet Secretary: Prabowo Plans to 'Disguise' Himself During Visit to Senen

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto initially intended to ‘disguise’ himself when visiting residents’ settlements along the railway tracks in the Senen sub-district area, Jakarta, on Thursday (26/3).

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that Prabowo’s visit was impromptu. Prabowo also used an ordinary car with very minimal escort.

“Impromptu and planned to disguise, using an ordinary car and very few Paspampres,” Teddy said via text message.

Teddy mentioned that the residents there were surprised by Prabowo’s presence. According to him, they were very enthusiastic in welcoming Prabowo.

“And they said this is the first time a President has come to that area,” he said.

After the visit, Teddy stated that Prabowo plans to build decent housing for residents still living along the railway tracks.

Prabowo visited residents’ settlements along the railway tracks in the Pasar Senen area.

Through a video uploaded on Instagram @prabowo, Prabowo visited wearing a dark blue short-sleeved shirt, glasses, and a brown cap on his head.

The former Kopassus Deputy Commander directly greeted residents who immediately approached him. He briefly chatted with residents standing along the railway tracks.

Prabowo was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and Head of the President’s Personal Secretariat, Rizky Irmansyah. Residents who welcomed Prabowo’s arrival along with Teddy and Rizky took selfies together.

Prabowo has a programme to build three million houses for low-income communities. Currently, this programme is already underway in several regions.
