Cabinet Secretary: Prabowo and Dudung discuss defence amid global dynamics
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto received the President’s Special Advisor on National Defence, retired General TNI Dudung Abdurachman, at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/4).
Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya stated on Wednesday that the President received a report from Dudung regarding the latest conditions in the field of defence and security, including continuously developing geopolitical dynamics.
“In that meeting, President Prabowo received a report related to geopolitical dynamics as well as developments in the field of defence and security,” said Teddy.
In addition to receiving the report, in that meeting, President Prabowo also provided strategic directions related to several forward steps in maintaining, strengthening, and enhancing the national defence system for the nation’s security.
“At the same time, providing strategic directions for forward geostrategic steps,” he said.
That meeting affirms the government’s adaptive efforts in facing challenges from the dynamic global geopolitical situation as well as the commitment to ensuring national security stability remains maintained.
Previously, Dudung stated that he was ready to provide input related to national and international issues, including geopolitics.
“I am the President’s advisor, of course there may be things that he asks for advice and input on. Usually, he likes to ask for advice and input from us as advisors,” said Dudung shortly after arriving at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/4) afternoon.
