Cabinet Secretary: Open House at the Presidential Palace Starts at Noon, Capacity for 5,000 People

Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the open house at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta will be held today starting from 12:00 WIB. Teddy mentioned that the open house capacity is up to 5,000 people.

“We open (the open house) after Zuhr prayer. Maybe at 12, 1 o’clock, please come. (The capacity) is about 5,000, perhaps like last year. Of course, we have prepared inside; if it doesn’t fit, outside has also been prepared by the Minister Secretary of State, tents, and then they can take turns entering,” said Teddy during a visit in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday night (20/3/2026).

Teddy said the open house will be open from afternoon until evening. He invited the public to attend the open house at the Palace with their families.

“Of course, it opens from 12, perhaps until Maghrib, taking turns for the public who might come with their families to stroll around during Eid al-Fitr, whether bringing one family or stopping by the Palace, you are welcome,” he continued.

It is known that Prabowo is scheduled to carry out a series of Eid al-Fitr activities in two different regions in Sumatra. He will attend Takbiran night in North Sumatra and continue with Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh on Saturday, 21 March.

“Yes, that’s correct, the President will attend Takbiran night in North Sumatra and, God willing, will perform Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh tomorrow morning,” said Teddy on Friday (20/3).

This year marks the second Eid for Prabowo and Gibran Rakabuming as president and vice president. In 2025, Prabowo and Gibran performed Eid al-Fitr prayers at Masjid Istiqlal, Jakarta.
