Cabinet Secretary Emphasises That Cabinet Officials Are Not Required to Hold Eid Open Houses

State Secretary Minister (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi revealed that President Prabowo Subianto will directly hold an open house at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta after Eid prayers in Aceh Tamiang. He invited the public to join the halal bihalal at the palace. “So after from Aceh Tamiang, the President will return to Jakarta and in the afternoon towards evening, he plans to hold an open house for the general public,” he said after Eid prayers with Prabowo in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, on Friday (20/3/2026). On the other hand, Prasetyo emphasised that officials in the Merah Putih Cabinet are not required to hold open houses. He mentioned that this was an instruction from the president some time ago. “Indeed, he also conveyed to all Merah Putih Cabinet officials and institutional leaders that it is not mandatory,” said Prasetyo. It is known that President Prabowo performed Eid prayers with several Merah Putih Cabinet ministers in Simpang Empat Upah Village, Karang Baru Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh. The public joined the prayers with Prabowo at Masjid Darussalam. Prabowo also conducted halal bihalal after performing Eid prayers at Masjid Darussalam, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh. Prabowo shook hands with the congregation at the mosque and directly distributed basic food packages to the public. Prabowo was accompanied by Interior Minister Tito Karnavian, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono, Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf (Mualem), and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
