Cabinet Secretary Details Achievement of Renovating 16,000 Schools at Full Cabinet Meeting
Jakarta – Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya presented the achievement of renovating more than 16,000 schools, including toilet facilities, undertaken by the government over one year of governance through a short video presentation during a Full Cabinet Meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.
Before President Prabowo Subianto delivered guidance to the ministers and members of the Red and White Cabinet at the Full Cabinet Meeting, Teddy detailed that besides school and toilet renovations, 218 bridges across Indonesia were constructed within 2.5 months.
“Before beginning the Full Cabinet Meeting, we presented a short video on the construction of 218 bridges across Indonesia within 2.5 months, renovation of more than 16,000 schools, including toilets in this year of government, and several specific ministerial programmes completed in the last month,” said Teddy.
In the short video, it was noted that over the past year, the government has built toilets and clean water facilities in 454 schools.
The government also realised prawn harvesting across 200 hectares by residents under supervision of the Penitentiary Institution (Lapas) in Nusakambangan and Kendal.
Subsequently, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs issued Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 concerning the Protection of Electronic System Management in Child Protection (PP Tunas) to safeguard the quality of Indonesia’s young generation.
President Prabowo Subianto opened the Full Cabinet Meeting ahead of Eid al-Fitr celebrations, attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, all ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, Presidential Special Envoys, and heads of State High Institutions.
In his address, Prabowo discussed several matters related to the 2026 Eid homecoming journey that will take place soon.
“First, I request the Transport Minister to ensure that the price discount policy is implemented optimally, whether it be discounts on air tickets, trains, ships, and toll roads, and to ensure good service at every location,” said Prabowo.
