Cabinet Secretary Confirms No Plans for Imminent Cabinet Reshuffle
Cabinet Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has stated that there are no plans for a reshuffle of President Prabowo Subianto’s Cabinet, known as the Merah Putih Cabinet, in the near future.
“There are none,” said Pras at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4).
Nevertheless, Pras noted that President Prabowo continuously evaluates the performance of his subordinates.
“But that does not mean that every evaluation will always result in a change or reshuffle. It is not like that,” he said.
Recently, rumours of a reshuffle in the Merah Putih Cabinet have resurfaced. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya has also commented on the issue.
“Just wait,” said Teddy.
However, Teddy did not provide a direct answer on when the reshuffle would occur.
“The President will explain later,” he stated.
Prabowo last conducted a reshuffle on 5 February 2026. At that time, he inaugurated Juda Agung as Deputy Minister of Finance. Juda replaced Thomas Djiwandono in the position of Deputy Minister of Finance. Thomas Djiwandono left the post after being elected as Deputy Governor of BI.
