Jakarta - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya has assured that public facilities in the Central Jakarta area are ready to be used again by residents following the protest action that took place on Friday (12/6).

“After safeguarding the expression of aspirations on public streets, let us together prepare them again for use by citizens tomorrow morning,” Teddy wrote in a video uploaded via the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat on Saturday.

The statement was delivered by the Cabinet Secretary in line with efforts to restore the area’s condition after the public aspiration event concluded. The restoration of public amenities was carried out so that community activities could resume without disruption.

A number of TNI and Polri personnel, together with cleaning staff, worked hand in hand to clear rubbish and leftover materials from the road areas. The community work focused on cleaning areas that had previously been the concentration points for protest masses.

The cleaning staff and security officers combed various points around the protest site to remove rubbish. The joint team tidied up public street facilities from Friday (12/6) evening until early Saturday morning.

The video uploaded to the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat showed moments of the personnel caring for the public space. TNI, Polri, and cleaning staff collected rubbish into prepared bags.

The Cabinet Secretary expressed appreciation to the officers who helped restore the area’s condition after the protest. Appreciation was given for the active role of security personnel beyond their primary duty of safeguarding the demonstration.

The environmental clean-up activity, which lasted until the early hours, demonstrated the involvement of officers in maintaining the comfort of public areas. Public facilities were ensured to be clean so that the community could utilise them for the smooth running of daily activities.
