Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya has urged cadets at the Military Academy (Akmil) to continuously improve their skills, highlighting that a free nation requires a strong military.

According to an official post from the Cabinet Secretariat quoted from Jakarta on Tuesday, Seskab Teddy fulfilled an invitation from the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java, on Monday (13/7) to provide a briefing to more than 1,600 cadets from levels I, II, and III.

“No nation is free without a strong army. Do not be an officer who is just mediocre. If you are just ordinary here, it does not mean you have to remain ordinary later. As long as you have faith, God willing, it will happen,” he said.

He also advised the cadets to build a career foundation and try various things to improve their abilities in different fields.

“If you can get a bachelor’s degree, get it. After that, a master’s degree. Be proficient in AI, IT, video editing, languages, organisation, sports, music, arts, and religion. Choose at least one,” he explained.

“Stay enthusiastic, keep fighting. Indonesia awaits your service,” said the Cabinet Secretary.

Previously, Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Teddy Indra Wijaya delivered a briefing lecture to Level III/Sermatar Cadets of the Military Academy for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held at the Moch Lily Rochli Building of the Military Academy.
