Cabinet Plenary Session to Focus on Programme Evaluation This Afternoon, Says Mensesneg
Minister of State Secretariat (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi confirmed that the Plenary Cabinet Session is scheduled to take place at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday afternoon (20/7). The main agenda of the meeting is to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the implementation of government programmes and to discuss measures to accelerate the implementation of various priority programmes.
“God willing, this afternoon. It is actually standard practice. All sectors are continually discussed,” said Prasetyo when giving a statement to journalists in Jakarta on Monday.
Prasetyo explained that the Plenary Cabinet Session is a routine mechanism serving as a forum for performance evaluation across all ministries and agencies. Through this forum, the government ensures that every policy runs in accordance with the targets that have been set.
He added that although the session is routine in nature, certain strategic issues will be discussed in greater depth if necessary through the Plenary Cabinet Session mechanism. “Sometimes a plenary session mechanism is needed. What will certainly be discussed specifically is accelerating programme implementation,” he asserted.
The main focus of this session remains consistent: reviewing how far government programmes have been realised and formulating concrete steps to accelerate processes on the ground. According to Prasetyo, programme evaluation is always the soul of every cabinet meeting so that the government’s vision can be felt by the public in a timely manner.
“Certainly, the main focus of every meeting is programme evaluation,” Prasetyo added.
At the previous Plenary Cabinet Session held on 13 March 2026, President Prabowo Subianto gave strategic directions regarding preparations for the 2026 Eid homecoming. These directions included discounted homecoming travel tickets, security operations by the TNI and Polri, food aid distribution, the disbursement of Holiday Allowances (THR) for central and regional civil servants, and national food supply stability.
Beyond the routine evaluation focus, the government is currently also paying attention to other major targets, including President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to halt diesel imports starting from July 2026 and the strengthening of the national agricultural sector.
