Cabinet Plenary Session to Focus on Programme Evaluation This Afternoon, Says Mensesneg

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi confirmed that a Cabinet Plenary Session (SKP) is scheduled to take place at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday (20/7) afternoon. The main agenda of the meeting is to conduct a thorough evaluation of government programme implementation and to discuss steps to accelerate the execution of various priority programmes. “God willing, this afternoon. It is actually standard. All fields are discussed continuously,” Prasetyo said while providing information to journalists in Jakarta on Monday. Prasetyo explained that the Cabinet Plenary Session is a routine mechanism that serves as a forum for evaluating the performance of all ministries and institutions. Through this forum, the government ensures that every policy is running according to the targets that have been set. He added that although it is routine, certain strategic issues will be discussed in more depth if necessary through the SKP mechanism. “Only sometimes the SKP mechanism is needed. What is specifically discussed is certainly the acceleration of programme implementation,” he stressed. The main focus in this session remains consistent on reviewing the extent to which government programmes have been realised and formulating concrete steps to accelerate processes in the field. According to Prasetyo, programme evaluation is always the spirit of every cabinet meeting so that the government’s vision can be felt by the public in a timely manner. “Yes, of course, the main thing in every meeting is programme evaluation,” he added. In the previous Cabinet Plenary Session held on 13 March 2026, President Prabowo Subianto provided strategic direction regarding preparations for the 2026 Eid homecoming season. The directives included policies on homecoming ticket discounts, security by the Indonesian National Armed Forces and National Police, distribution of food aid, disbursement of holiday allowances for central and regional civil servants, and national food supply stability. Beyond routine evaluations, the government is also currently focusing on other major targets, including President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to stop diesel imports starting July 2026 and the strengthening of the national agricultural sector.
