Jakarta (ANTARA) - BytePlus is introducing a variety of artificial intelligence (AI)-based solutions designed to support the digital transformation of companies across various sectors in Indonesia, from e-commerce and digital natives to media and the public sector.

Currently, according to BytePlus Regional Lead for Indonesia and Malaysia, Leon Chen, AI adoption in Indonesia is already very high (96%), but adoption that generates real business impact remains relatively low (12%).

Therefore, he continued in his statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, his side is strengthening its commitment to empowering companies to adopt AI more quickly and effectively. This step is also in line with the government’s agenda to increase national productivity, create economic value, and strengthen national competitiveness through AI adoption.

“We see AI as a catalyst to drive innovation and sustainable growth, including in Indonesia,” he said.

Through the AI-based solutions introduced at BytePlus AI Day Indonesia 2026, he emphasised support for Indonesian companies to accelerate innovation and strengthen competitiveness amid constantly changing market dynamics.

During the event, Leon mentioned a variety of leading AI-based solutions introduced, one of which is BytePlus ModelArk, an integrated platform for large language models (LLM), which allows developers to select and integrate various models for various applications, from intelligent chatbots to richly personalised content.

In addition, there is a series of Seed models that enable companies and public services in Indonesia to develop integrated digital experiences on ready-to-use infrastructure; ranging from Dola Seed 2.0, which combines basic reasoning capabilities, Dreamina Seedance 2.0, which dynamically creates videos, to Dola Seedream 5.0, which generates images from natural language in a cutting-edge manner.

In addition to strengthening the company’s position as an important partner in Indonesia’s digital transformation, he added that AI adoption by companies and public services in Indonesia is not just technology, but a growth strategy.

“Through AI solutions, companies and public services can drive innovation, enhance customer experiences, and strengthen competitiveness amid dynamic market demands,” he said.

One user of BytePlus’s AI-powered chatbot service is Transjakarta, the operator of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Jakarta.

Director of Information Technology Systems and Services at Transjakarta, Raditya Maulana Rusdi, said that passengers can now access route, schedule, and service information quickly through natural language interactions, improving comfort and effectiveness in urban travel planning.

The chatbot’s performance has also successfully reduced customer query handling time by up to 93.82% across Transjakarta’s various social media platforms, allowing thousands of user questions to be handled simultaneously and consistently, even during peak hours.

Meanwhile, Volantis Technology, a big data management company in Southeast Asia, utilises the Seed 1.8 Pro model through the BytePlus ModelArk platform to unify fragmented data into ready-to-use AI-based solutions.

This approach, according to Co-Founder and CTO of Volantis Technology, Habib Rosyad, enables multi-step automation, AI-based management, and customer content curation processes with more efficient operational costs compared to other premium models.
