Video of a man riding a motorcycle while carrying a number of sacks of ice in Bogor, West Java, went viral on social media. The video recorder spoke out after witnessing the audacious act by the rider.

It was Citasania who captured the moment the ice-delivery rider on a motorbike appeared to fly like Superman. Citasania found the ‘flying’ rider on Jalan KH Abdullah Bin Nuh, Bogor Barat District, Bogor City.

‘That’s right, in Bogor,’ Citasania said on Friday (22 May 2026).

Cita uploaded the video to her Instagram account, which was subsequently widely reshared by other netizens. Cita admitted she was terrified by the ice-delivery man’s stunt.

She saw the ice-delivery rider in the area of Jembatan Semplak heading towards the Semplak traffic light. In the video the rider can be seen carrying eight large sacks of ice stacked on his motorcycle.

‘I’m concerned because on the road it also affects the safety of other road users as well. And this is the first time I’ve seen an ice-delivery courier carrying so much,’ Cita said.

The large number of ice bags left no space on the bike for him to sit. The rider ended up perched on top of the ice sacks, with only his hands touching the bike.

Both of the rider’s legs hung behind the motorcycle, while his torso and hips rested on the ice sacks he was carrying. The man was riding a black-and-white automatic scooter, but the licence plate was not visible.

The rider appeared to be moving in the left lane with ease and was not wearing a helmet. The stunt was considered dangerous to himself and to others.

Cita did not expect the ice-bag transporter to ride for such a distance.

‘Didn’t expect him to head towards Cilendek. I saw him riding for about 1.3 km, then he disappeared because he was already ahead,’ she said.

Police Urge Drivers to Obey Rules

When contacted, Bogor Barat Police Sector Chief (Kapolsek) Kompol Didin Komarudin said they had not yet received a report of the incident. He urged drivers to obey rules and not carry excessive loads.

‘No report yet; the appeal is to obey traffic rules. If you drive in an orderly manner, don’t carry excessive loads so as not to endanger yourself or others,’ Didin said on Thursday (22 May).

Separately, Bogor City Police’s Traffic Unit Chief (Kasat Lantas) AKP Robby Rachman said authorities would take action if similar cases were found. Enforcement would also target other violations.

‘We will definitely take action; we have already enforced against knalpot brong exhausts and riders without helmets,’ Robby said.
