BYD Tech-Culture Fest Held at GBK: Visitors Can Test Drive for Free

JAKARTA — BYD is staging the BYD Tech-Culture Fest in the South Parking area of GBK Senayan, Jakarta, from 20 to 24 May 2026. The event provides the public with a closer look at BYD’s electrification technology and the opportunity to test-drive a range of its vehicles.

Importantly, members of the public can access the festival’s facilities free of charge. Visitors can also try several BYD models in the designated test-drive area.

Within the festival, BYD is presenting several interactive zones, including the BYD & Denza Booth, DM Technology Zone, BYD Milestone, Beyond Community, Monster Track Arena Denza B5, and Speed Test Ride.

BYD Motor Indonesia President Director Eagle Zhao said the festival serves as a means to showcase BYD technologies that can be used in daily life. “Through this festival, BYD brings all technology that can be implemented in everyday life. To gain knowledge about our innovations, we are also proud to present BYD’s innovation stars in car technology and new energy that combines EV and DM,” Zhao said in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.

He explained that BYD’s Platform 3.0 is the basis of its modern electric vehicles. The technology is claimed to make electric cars more efficient.

According to Zhao, the BYD Tech-Culture Fest is not just a one-off event but the start of a national tour to be held in various cities across Indonesia. “This festival is not merely a single event. It is the beginning of a major national tour. Starting here in Jakarta, we will bring the experience to Sumatra, Semarang, Bandung, Surabaya and many other cities,” he said.

Through the BYD Tech-Culture Fest, BYD not only aims to introduce its line of electrified vehicles to the wider public, but also to provide hands-on experiences of future vehicle technology.
