BYD Takes Small Steps Towards the Future from Depok Classroom
For some, school supplies assistance may seem simple. However, for primary school children, new shoes can be a reason to attend school with greater confidence.
Partnering with BenihBaik.com, BYD has donated shoes and school bags as the first step of a social programme set to reach more students across various regions.
The inaugural event took place at SDN Pondok Petir 03 in Bojongsari, Depok, West Java, on Tuesday (26 May 2026).
‘Together with our partner BenihBaik.com, we will distribute over 1,200 pairs of shoes and school bags to students nationwide. Because every small step today can lead to a brighter future,’ said Eagle in Depok on Tuesday (26 May 2026).
He added that ‘Small Steps for Tomorrow’ is not merely a ceremonial activity but the start of BYD’s CSR programme in Indonesia. Eagle believes every child has an equal right to keep moving forward and pursue their dreams.
‘No matter how big the dream, it always begins with a small step,’ Eagle said.
He explained that these small steps can start from confidence to attend school, a passion for learning, to the courage to have big dreams.
SDN Pondok Petir 03 Principal Trias Mira said the ‘Small Steps for Tomorrow’ theme holds deep meaning for students.
‘Comfortable shoes foster confidence, a love for learning, and motivation to consistently attend school and participate in lessons,’ Trias said on the occasion.
She added that such support helps children feel more confident in their education and future aspirations.
She noted corporate involvement in education is a tangible form of community participation in creating quality education.
