BYD M6 DM officially priced starting from Rp298 million

BYD Indonesia has revealed the pricing for the Plug-in Hybrid EV (PHEV) BYD M6 DM, which starts from Rp298 million. The arrival of this PHEV variant from the M6 family follows the success initiated by the M6 EV. “Today we are taking a new step. We introduce to you, the BYD M6 DM,” said President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Eagle Zhao, during the price announcement in Jakarta on Friday. In Indonesia, the vehicle is available in five variants tailored to consumer needs: Classic Standard, Classic Dynamic, Cross Advanced, Cross Superior, and the top-tier Cross Captain. The company claims this vehicle offers an environmentally friendly driving solution without the range anxiety associated with pure electric vehicles. The BYD M6 DM is equipped with a 1,500cc engine producing a maximum output of 72 kW and 125 Nm of torque, along with an Electric Hybrid System (EHS) 5.0 capable of spinning at 15,000 rpm. The DM technology, which combines EV and hybrid functions, allows users to drive both short and long distances with efficient energy use. The electric motor and large-capacity battery provide most of the energy to run the vehicle, while the petrol engine can operate efficiently to generate energy when needed. The system can combine power from the electric motor and the engine to improve efficiency when the vehicle is travelling at high speeds. In Indonesia, the Classic Standard variant is priced at Rp298 million, Classic Dynamic at Rp318 million, Cross Advanced at Rp360 million, Cross Superior at Rp380 million, and the highest variant, Cross Captain Seat, at Rp390 million.
