BYD launches new Song Pro DM-i with 301 km electric range

Jakarta (ANTARA) - BYD has started sales of the new Song Pro DM-i plug-in hybrid crossover with a pure electric range of up to 301 km in the Chinese market. According to a CarNewsChina broadcast on Wednesday (22/4), the latest model, named the Flying Edition, is available in four trim levels priced from 102,900 yuan (approximately Rp259 million) to 132,900 yuan (around Rp334 million). The updated Song Pro DM-i retains an exterior design consistent with its predecessor. This compact vehicle measures 4,735 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,690 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,712 mm. The cabin features five passenger seats, a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen, and a two-spoke steering wheel with the gear lever positioned behind it. The standard BYD Song Pro DM-i Flying Edition is equipped with the DiSus-C suspension system and a stability control system that coordinates drive and braking to prevent loss of control in the event of a tyre blowout. The vehicle is powered by the “God’s Eye C” ADAS system, capable of executing Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) features on highways. The company also offers an optional DiPilot 300 package based on LiDAR, enabling NOA functions on urban roads and supporting over 300 automatic parking scenarios. The Song Pro DM-i Flying Edition is fitted with a 1.5-litre internal combustion engine producing 74 kW and a 120 kW electric motor driving the front wheels. It comes with two LFP battery options: 26.6 kWh and 34.27 kWh. The vehicle’s electric range spans from 220 km to 301 km, with fuel consumption around 3.2 litres per 100 km.
