BYD launches 2026 Sealion 06 DM-i with 310 km electric range
Jakarta (ANTARA) - BYD has officially launched the 2026 Sealion 06 DM-i model with a pure electric range of up to 310 km based on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) standard. According to CarNewsChina’s report on Tuesday (26/5), BYD introduced the 2026 Sealion 06 DM-i in four trim levels priced from 129,900 yuan (approx. Rp340 million) to 159,900 yuan (approx. Rp420 million) for the market. One of the key upgrades for the new model is the integration of BYD’s fifth-generation DM technology, enabling a pure electric range of up to 310 km. The 2026 Sealion 06 DM-i retains BYD’s signature design language, now featuring a new exterior colour Glazed Silver and Twilight Blue interior theme. The interior is designed for passenger comfort, with added seat memory and massage functions, front passenger footrests, and an integrated smart air freshener system. The new model offers advanced driver assistance system options, God’s Eye B. When activated, the system provides capabilities such as city autopilot navigation, high-speed autopilot navigation, real-time traffic light recognition with countdown, adaptive traffic manoeuvring, and roundabout navigation. The 2026 Sealion 06 DM-i is also equipped with the top-tier DiLink 150 smart cockpit system, featuring a redesigned user interface and customised AutoNavi Maps for enhanced human-machine interaction. According to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) standard, the 2026 Sealion 06 DM-i has a fuel consumption rate of 3.3 litres per 100 km when the battery is depleted. The vehicle offers a combined range of up to 1,845 km with a full fuel tank and battery. The 2026 Sealion 06 DM-i is equipped with the intelligent DiSus-C body damping control system, which now features road surface pre-scanning. The system proactively identifies uneven road surfaces such as manhole covers and speed bumps and adjusts suspension damping coefficients in real time. Additionally, the vehicle features a ‘motion sickness prevention mode’, which optimises the chassis, environmental settings, and powertrain to enhance passenger comfort. Safety features include a high-speed tyre blowout stabilisation system capable of millisecond-level responses to maintain control during a blowout at speeds up to 140 km/h.
