BYD introduces M6 Cross equipped with DM technology in Indonesia

Jakarta (ANTARA) - BYD Indonesia has officially introduced the latest generation of the BYD M6 through the M6 Cross Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) for the Indonesian market, which utilises DM (Dual Mode) technology.

“Starting tomorrow, consumers can visit official BYD dealers in Indonesia to test our latest vehicle,” said Eagle Zhou, President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, during the vehicle’s unveiling in the PIK area on Monday.

According to Zhou, this vehicle is highly relevant to current conditions, where fuel prices have been experiencing significant increases. Many vehicle owners are currently seeking vehicles that offer high levels of efficiency, comfort, and safety through advanced features and technology.

“BYD has chosen the right time to introduce this new technology, which is based on EV technology. This vehicle can provide flexibility and comfort, while eliminating range anxiety,” he added.

The DM technology has already benefited over 7.5 million units worldwide. This technology combines EV and Hybrid systems to provide a comprehensive solution for eco-friendly mobility needs. This is because the vehicle prioritises using electric propulsion as its primary power source. The integrated engine serves as a support mechanism, functioning to generate electricity and enhance efficiency when required.

In terms of dimensions, the vehicle maintains the same model specifications, with a body length of 4,710 mm, a width of 1,810 mm, and a height of 1,690 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. However, BYD has yet to disclose the pricing and official order schedule for the BYD M6 Cross DM in Indonesia.
