Jakarta — BYD Motor Indonesia has officially opened its Lebaran 2026 Mudik Service Posts. The symbolic opening of the BYD service post was held at Rest Area KM 57A on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

This initiative was taken to provide safety and convenience to thousands of electric vehicle users predicted to travel towards Central Java and East Java during the mudik season.

Head of Aftersales at PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Ubaedilah, explained that BYD has identified six strategic locations along the Trans Java Toll Road for the Mudik Service Posts.

This number has doubled compared to the previous year to ensure broader service coverage for consumers.

“We have doubled our Mudik Service Post network from three to six locations, covering both outbound and return traffic. These points are strategically placed in areas with high mobility potential,” said Ubaedilah.

The outbound mudik posts are located at KM 57A, KM 228A, KM 379A and KM 575A.

The service will operate from 13 March to 25 March 2026.

At each post, BYD offers not merely a rest stop but comprehensive technical services. Travellers can receive free vehicle inspections, tyre nitrogen top-ups, and light repair work if needed.

Comfort is also a priority, with air-conditioned waiting areas, massage chairs, and the provision of light snacks and beverages for resting travellers.

Furthermore, BYD has introduced a new innovation in the form of independently-owned charging infrastructure.

“For the first time, we are introducing fast charging facilities at the Mudik Service Post at KM 57A, directly owned by BYD. Visitors can charge their vehicles using our 120 kW Fast Charging SPKLU with a total of three units,” said Ubaedilah.

BYD also provides 24-hour Emergency Roadside Assistance services with tow units ready to assist vehicles encountering difficulties on the toll roads.

This expansion move is justified by data, according to Luther T. Pandjaitan, Public and Government Relations at PT BYD Motor Indonesia, showing a dramatic increase in electric vehicle users travelling during mudik season.
