BYD Car Showroom in Tangerang on Fire, Storage Area Gutted

TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.com – A fire broke out at BYD’s electric car showroom in BSD Raya Utama, Lengkong Kulon, Pagedangan, Tangerang Regency, on Monday, 25 May 2026.

A spare parts and document storage area was gutted in the blaze.

Tangerang Regency Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Secretary Irwan Hengki said emergency services received the report at approximately 1:10 PM WIB.

Two fire trucks and seven personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene, arriving around 1:15 PM WIB.

“Our team immediately began firefighting operations,” he said.

The operation continued until approximately 3:30 PM WIB, after which the fire was extinguished and the situation brought under control.

There were no casualties, with estimated damages of Rp 500 million.

“No casualties. The cause of the incident is still under investigation,” Irwan added.
