JAKARTA - BYD Indonesia has explained the reasons behind the price adjustment for its cheapest compact electric car, the Atto 1, by up to Rp 10 million.

Currently, the Atto 1 Dynamic variant is sold for Rp 205 million, up from the previous Rp 199 million. Meanwhile, the Long Range variant is now marketed at Rp 245 million, from the previous Rp 235 million.

Luther Panjaitan, Head of PR & Government Relations at BYD Indonesia, said the price change is related to product refreshes that will soon be introduced.

According to him, the developments mentioned are not limited to a facelift but also include the addition of new variants to expand consumer choices.

“We assure you that in the near future we will officially inform what developments, what updates are on the Atto 1 product,” he said.

“Secondly, we do plan to add new variants to complement certain market segments in the Atto 1 for those who still want access to accessible EV vehicles,” Luther added.

For information, the BYD Atto 1 was first launched in Indonesia at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 in July 2025.

In terms of specifications, the city car with a length of 3.92 metres uses a 30 kWh battery in the Dynamic variant with a range of up to 300 kilometres.
