by.U Launches 'kUotamasya 2026', Turning Data Packages into Travel Experiences
kUotamasya by.U returns as a travel experience programme offering a new way for the younger generation to enjoy holidays. Carrying the spirit of ‘Weird But True – Buy Data, Get a Trip!’, this programme combines digital connectivity with the exploration of unique destinations alongside a community of travellers and content creators. This initiative is part of Telkomsel’s commitment to providing solutions aligned with Gen Z lifestyles.
Through kUotamasya 2026, by.U customers have the opportunity to join trips to six selected destinations, namely Bulukumba, Bintan, Lasem, Nuca Molas, North Bali, and Vietnam. Each trip is designed to offer exploration of local culture, distinctive cuisine, and community experiences close to the Gen Z lifestyle.
The programme runs from April to October 2026 through the purchase of kUotamasya packages on the by.U app. Customers simply buy a special package for Rp50,000 with a 12GB/30-day quota, then register to enter the trip raffle. The more transactions made, the greater the chance of securing a travel experience with by.U.
Head of by.U Product Marketing, Herman Andik Prasetyo, stated, ‘Through kUotamasya 2026, we aim to deliver an experience that goes beyond connectivity, opening up opportunities for exploration, social connections, and new stories for our customers. This initiative also reflects Telkomsel’s commitment to Serving Wholeheartedly, by presenting solutions that fit the digital lifestyle of the younger generation.’
As part of the programme’s development, by.U is collaborating with the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia through Wonderful Indonesia to promote local destinations more creatively and with a digital-first approach, while boosting Gen Z’s interest in domestic tourism. by.U is also partnering with the Omah Jangan Diam Terus community to provide more authentic experiences through the exploration of hidden gems, cultural journeys, and storytelling experiences. Through this collaboration, participants not only travel but also build connections with local culture and create more personal travel experiences.
Furthermore, through a collaboration with the 1000 Guru Foundation, kUotamasya 2026 presents a ‘Teaching & Giving Programme’ in Lasem and North Bali, inviting participants to contribute through donation activities and learning sessions with local communities, delivering a tangible social impact for local communities, in line with Telkomsel’s spirit of creating shared value.
