BWPT Included in KEHATI ESG Sector Leaders Index, Managing Director: Key Moment for Sustainability Transformation
PT Eagle High Plantations Tbk (BWPT) has officially been included in the KEHATI ESG Sector Leaders Index constituents for the June-November 2026 period. The inclusion underscores market recognition of the company’s implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. The decision follows a formal announcement from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in Evaluation Notice No. Peng-00085/BEI.POP/05-2026 dated 21 May 2026, covering indices including IDXVESTA28, ECONOMIC30, SRI-KEHATI, ESGSKEHATI, ESGQKEHATI, and Investor33. The KEHATI ESG Sector Leaders Index comprises 49 top stocks selected based on above-average ESG performance within their respective sectors according to the IDX Industrial Classification (IDX-IC). Managed through a collaboration between the Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation (KEHATI) and BEI, the index serves as a key reference for institutional investors focused on sustainable or green investments. Managing Director Henderi Djunaidi stated that this achievement marks a significant milestone in the company’s sustainability transformation. ‘The confidence reflected in the KEHATI ESG evaluation serves as motivation for EHP to continue growing healthily, transparently, and responsibly amid the dynamics of the palm oil industry,’ he said on Tuesday (26 May 2026). Management noted that EHP’s success in passing the KEHATI ESG index selection is supported by consistent ESG implementation across all operational aspects. Environmentally, the company adheres to No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) policies, sustainable waste management through zero waste initiatives, and accelerated RSPO and ISPO certification across all operational units. Socially, EHP actively implements community empowerment programs in operational areas to support basic needs and long-term development. In governance, the company enhances transparency through accountable Sustainability Reports, strengthens audit committee functions, and complies with capital market and palm oil industry regulations.
