Jakarta – The coordinator of the Cyber Army Team, M Adhiya Muzakki, was acquitted of charges of obstructing investigations in several cases handled by the Attorney General’s Office (AGO). The acquittal was read by Chief Judge Effendi at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.

“Ordering that the defendant be acquitted immediately after this verdict is read,” Effendi said as he read the verdict.

The judge noted that Adhiya had his own role and responsibilities in the case.

Adhiya was involved in producing content with a negative slant on the ongoing legal process at the request of lawyer Marcella Santoso.

The content was also created to counter narratives that harmed Marcella’s client. By creating and disseminating the content with the help of around 50 buzzers, Adhiya earned up to IDR 864.5 billion.

“Having considered the legal facts revealed in court in relation to the applicable regulations, the panel of judges concluded that the conduct of the defendant was in fact freedom of opinion and expression guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution,” the judge said.

Adhiya Muzaki (MAM) was named a suspect by the AGO in May 2025. The buzzer boss is alleged to have obstructed investigations, prosecutions, and court proceedings in three cases, namely the alleged corruption case involving PT Timah, the alleged sugar import case, and the alleged bribery in handling the crude palm oil (CPO) export case.

Adhiya Muzaki is said to have been involved in creating negative content that would later be spread on social media and online media.

At least within the Cyber Army Team, he led around 150 people who were directed to post negative comments against content created by Tian Bahtiar, then Director of News at JAK TV.

His actions are alleged to have deliberately undermined the AGO and Jampidsus by forming a negative public narrative.
