Buying a house in Australia

Buying a house in Australia

From Jayakarta

That many Indonesian citizens have bought houses in Australia is not a new phenomenon. A number of exhibitions of properties in Australia have been held in Jakarta, Surabaya and other large cities and they always attract potential buyers. Don't be surprised that many Indonesian businessmen have invested there.

Australia is attractive. It's tourist drive is carried out actively and aggressively, and the result is satisfactory. Indonesian tourists are third in rank after Japan and Hong Kong, in terms of length of stay.

As Australia is sparsely populated, the government allows ownership of property by foreign nationals, including Indonesians. Especially for students, it would be cheaper to own a house there rather than to lease one.

Also, in fact, a property in Australia is cheaper than a property in this country. The house is well designed and in good condition. A well-equipped house in Australia, built on a 400 - 600 square meter plot of land, may costs A$ 130,000 to A$ 160,000 (approximately Rp 216 million to Rp 256 million). It should be noted that to buy a house in Australia one need not go through complicated bureaucracy. Some 70 percent of the deal is done through a bank loan.

What about the status of property bought there? It's "Free-O- total", meaning that the buyer has the right of ownership for good. Not just for a lifetime. It is not difficult to resell the property. i.e. by contacting an agent.
