PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Jakarta Operation Area 1 recorded today, Tuesday (26 May), as the peak day for long-distance train departures during the 2026 Idul Adha holiday period. Pasar Senen Station recorded the highest number of departures with 15,041 passengers, followed by Gambir Station with 14,144 passengers. Destinations with the highest ticket bookings include Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Purwokerto, and Jember. Overall, passenger departures from various stations in Jakarta Operation Area 1 reached 38,666. During the Idul Adha long weekend from 25 May to 2 June 2026, KAI Jakarta Operation Area 1 operates 68 regular long-distance train services daily, plus 9 additional services, consisting of 8 additional trains from Gambir Station and 1 from Pasar Senen Station. The total seating capacity for long-distance trains during this period is 363,631 seats. To date, 206,805 tickets have been sold, representing a 56% occupancy rate. KAI Jakarta Operation Area 1 also advises passengers to plan their travel time to the station to avoid missing trains, especially amid potential traffic congestion during the holiday period.
