Buskers to help cops protect bus passengers

BEKASI: At least 300 buskers grouped in the Bekasi Street
Singers Group pledged on Monday to help police protect bus
passengers from pickpockets and robbers.

"We the buskers are ready to help police prevent or stop any
robberies on buses," singer spokesman Lilik Suherman said at a
simple ceremony.

The ceremony, presided over by Bekasi police officer Comr.
Imam, was held at a vacant building formerly used by the Bekasi
District Court. -- JP
