Businessmen to hold meeting in Aceh

JAKARTA: Some 250 businesspeople from Indonesia, Malaysia and
Thailand are scheduled to meet in Aceh later this year, the head
of the provincial branch of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce
and Industry said on Wednesday.

"The meeting will show the world that security in Aceh,
particularly in Sabang and Banda Aceh, is improving," Firmandes
said.

He said the businesspeople would likely discuss possible
investment opportunities in their respective countries.

"We do not expect any investment in Aceh as yet, but we merely
want to show the world that Aceh is safe," he said. -- Antara
