Business Psychology Plays Critical Role in Company Management in Response to Global Needs
Business psychology, as an academic discipline that combines principles of human behaviour with business practices to enhance productivity, efficiency, and workplace culture, is recognised as playing a vital role in supporting company management.
Business psychology performs a crucial function in talent assessment and employee development processes. Through psychological testing, behavioural interviews, and personality analysis, companies can identify potential talent, manage effective placement, and design appropriate development programmes.
“We hope the newly launched Master’s programme in Psychology can produce graduates with superior human resources for companies, as we have oriented the programme towards business psychology,” said Pancasila University Rector Prof Adnan Hamid during the launch of the Master’s programme in Psychology at Pancasila University in Jakarta on Monday, 9 March 2026.
According to Adnan, the launch of the Master’s programme in Psychology also accommodates graduates from Pancasila University’s Faculty of Psychology who wish to pursue postgraduate studies at the Master’s level.
“As part of the faculty, this Master’s programme is certainly an important component of the university that provides mutual support. Those who wish to pursue Master’s studies can continue through this programme,” Adnan explained.

He explained that beyond accommodating Pancasila University’s undergraduate Psychology graduates, the Master’s programme in Psychology is considered important to respond to employment needs within a global context.
“Currently, many psychology graduates are in demand. By focusing on business psychology, we will equip Master’s graduates with certifications in the business field, so they will have added value when working in companies,” he added.
