Business players have expressed appreciation for various government policies that increasingly strengthen business confidence, bolster national economic resilience, and deliver tangible benefits to the public. This was conveyed by a number of business representatives during a meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday (31/7).

The Chairman of the National Construction Executors Association (Gapensi), Andi Rukman N. Karumpa, stated that the government has demonstrated its seriousness in developing the domestic construction industry. This commitment is reflected in the substantial investment poured into the sector. “You have successfully navigated the country exceptionally well, particularly in the construction sector. You have disbursed over Rp 1,000 trillion for infrastructure funds, the Red and White initiative, kitchens, rice field printing, fishing villages, people’s schools, and irrigation, which is extraordinary,” he said.

He also noted that the government is currently intensifying revitalisation projects in education and health, evidenced by the repair of thousands of schools and community health centres. On the same occasion, Kadin Indonesia’s Deputy Chairman for Foreign Affairs, James Riady, said the government’s execution management deserves praise, as the strategic programmes being implemented are very clear. “If we look at this execution management and its speed—food self-sufficiency, energy security—despite the current global situation, subsidised electricity tariffs have not risen, and LPG prices have also not increased. This is remarkable,” James stated. He added that Indonesia’s leadership under Prabowo Subianto’s steady hand leaves a positive impression on business players, describing his leadership as highly visionary, strategic, and clear.

Meanwhile, Kadin Indonesia’s Deputy Chairman for Food Affairs, Mulyadi Jayabaya, highlighted the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. According to him, this programme provides numerous benefits for schoolchildren in remote villages. “Those schoolchildren in remote villages, they don’t even have breakfast or lunch. But with Mr. Prabowo’s MBG programme, this is extraordinary,” he said. Mulyadi also expressed support for the government’s continuous efforts to strengthen national food security, noting that the President has taken the number one step towards achieving sovereign food security.

In response, President Prabowo Subianto stressed the importance of synergy between the government and the business sector as the key to accelerating development and improving people’s welfare. “I am very grateful. I am very pleased. From the beginning of the government I lead, you have shown the intention to cooperate and to struggle together for the good of the entire nation,” Prabowo said. Ultimately, the government and the business sector will continue to move forward together. Collaboration, hard work, and the spirit of building for the interests of all people are believed to give birth to an advanced Indonesian nation in the future.
