SINGAPORE (Dow Jones): Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong
said on Monday the island-state's economic outlook remains
unclear and worse problems can come if the regional situation
deteriorates, particularly in Indonesia.

"Our neighbors, especially Indonesia, are burdened with deep
economic, social and political difficulties," the prime minister
said in his Chinese New Year's message, released early Monday.

"If their problems get more complicated, investor sentiment
towards the whole region will become pessimistic. This will slow
the pace of our own recovery," he said.
