Business Associations Welcome the Establishment of DSI

Jakarta, VIVA – Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto told President Prabowo Subianto that business associations both domestic and international welcomed the establishment of the state-owned enterprise Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI).

Airlangga said the appreciation was conveyed at a meeting with associations regarding the socialisation of export earnings and the export process through DSI.

“They appreciate the policies taken by the government,” Airlangga said after meeting with President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Friday, 22 May 2026.

According to Airlangga, nearly all business associations expressed support for the government’s policies and are ready to cooperate with the body formed by the government. “They are ready to cooperate with the body formed by the government,” he said.

It is noted that, before meeting Prabowo, Airlangga had indicated that industry associations gave a positive response to the establishment of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI). He said associations understand the formation of DSI and are preparing its implementation. “The response is positive. So the associations understand and are preparing for implementation,” he said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Friday afternoon.

Airlangga also said the associations provided input regarding the importance of transparency and clarity in the establishment and structure of the new body. “What they request is transparency and clarity from the regulator of the new state-owned enterprise,” he said.

Earlier, the Minister of Investment and Hilirisasi as well as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara Indonesia Rosan Roeslani said they were listening to input and conducting socialisation with associations of palm oil commodities and iron alloy related to the establishment of PT DSI. “We had a meeting earlier; we will listen to inputs first. Later this afternoon, from all associations, Kadin, Apindo, palm oil associations, APBI, coal, all. We are also carrying out socialisation, so we will start at 4 pm,” Rosan told the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Thursday (21/5).

President Prabowo Subianto, in a Plenary Session of the DPR at the Nusantara Building Complex of the MPR, DPR, DPD RI, Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/5), announced that the government would issue a Government Regulation on the Governance of Export of Natural Resource Commodities (SDA).
